Computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office software are available for use in the library. Six computers are designated as youth computers and are filtered. Everyone under 18 is required to use youth internet computers.

The library offers one-on-one assistance for a variety of computer basics such as email, web searching, using windows, e-readers, etc. through our Book A Librarian service. Appointments can last up to an hour and be tailored to what you need to know or learn. Call or stop by for more information or an appointment.

Free wireless internet access is available in the library; no password is required.  Electrical outlets are also available for laptop charging. 

Thanks to the Friends of Milan Public Library, we offer T-Mobile WiFi Mobile Hotspots for short and longer term loans to Milan card holders over 18 years old. Great for travel, working away from school or home, or internet access anywhere you don’t already have it. The rental fee (to cover the monthly access charges) is $10/7 days and $2/day for fewer than 7 days and includes unlimited data. Each WiFi Mobile Hotspot Device can support internet access for several devices.

We also offer Mobile Hotspot reservations for specific dates. There is reservation fee of $7 to reserve a Hotspot for a specific date in addition to regular fees. Reserving is great for a family vacation, holidays, or any specific time of year you may need it. To reserve a hotspot for a specific date, call the library at 734-439-1240.

To get in the queue for the next available hotspot, go to our online catalog.  Login, and then search for the words mobile hotspot in the catalog and click "Place Hold" in the record.  You will be notified as soon as one becomes available.   Call 734-439-1240 or email info@milanlibrary.org for more information or assistance with this process!
