Thank you for your interest in supporting the Milan Public Library! There are a number of ways in which you can support the library through financial donations, which are described below.
The Library benefits from the income from four Endowment Funds. As with any endowed fund, the available monies are only those generated by the income on the fund's principle investment each year, which can vary considerably.
Do you have a special interest that you'd like to support? Designated donations may be made to support specific areas, such as programming for children and/or adults, specific collections (music, large print, nonfiction, video, etc.).
Thank you for considering donating materials to the Milan Public Library. We are happy to give you a receipt for tax purposes. Currently, we are ONLY able to accept the following types of material donations.
Donated items not added to the library’s collections may be sold or donated.
At this time, we are not able to accept other donations, but recommend consulting with other area services to determine their current policies. Click here for a list of other area organizations which accept donations, but be sure to check in with them in case Covid has curtailed their operations.
The Library subscribes to a variety of magazines for all ages. You can help the library stretch its budget by 'adopting' a magazine for a year for $28 (average subscription cost). Magazines may be sponsored in honor or memory of an individual.
For more information on any of these funds/donation options, please contact Susan Wess, Library Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-439-1240. Thank you!
