The MeLCat system will undergo a significant update beginning on Monday, April 21 and lasting about a week.
During this time:
- You will NOT be able to place new requests
- You WILL be able to check out MeLCat items received by our library prior to April 21.
- You will NOT be able to check out items received by our library during the downtime. We will not be able to process them into our library until the system is operational again.
If you will need items during this time, please place your requests by April 7 (ideally) or as soon as possible for items to arrive before April 21. Most items take about a week and a half to arrive here; some arrive slightly sooner, some slightly later.
- You will NOT be able to renew items.
Renewable items can be renewed up to 6 days before their due date. If you are able to renew early, please do.
If you need to renew during the MeLCat downtime, please email your request to info@milanlibrary.org and we will renew your items for you when the system is operational again.
- Items you return during this time will NOT be able to be checked in until the system is operational again. They will remain on your record until we are able to check them in.
We will date the items when they are returned and back date the checkin date to reflect the day you return them.
